Taste of Folklife complete with elephant ear

We got an earful of jazz from these street performers we passed just after a mandatory stop for elephant ears. A fine way to end a spectacular sunny day in Seattle surrounded by music, art and tasty treats.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

The last few days of snow have convinced me to surrender to it and enjoy the remainder of 2008 at home with family. Here in Renton we have about 8 inches of snow. I hear other places like Redmond where I work have two feet! I haven't seen this much snow in the Seattle area in a long time and it looks like it will be around for another week. So, what to do? Stay at home, sip hot chocolate and fire up Xbox Live and some Rock Band of course! Drive safely or better yet, don't drive at all!

A Beginning

Everything needs a beginning and this space needed a new one.
I decided it was time to breathe some life into this space and add some content. Excuse the odd typo as they appear. I have a cat, Cinder, who likes to "help" whenever I sit at the computer. Actually make that two cats, but one is especially determined to get to the keyboard. She seems to think this is her chair since she sits in it all day while I'm at work. I'll add some more photo albums later so you'll see the whole cast of characters including family, friends and pets, and some major events that together give meaning to life, you know - mojo. Got mojo?
